I have told you many times my fav products and how much I love them, but I have yet to tell you a few that I just don’t think cut it for me. I’m walking you through 5 makeup products that just aren’t good.

Naked Palettes 1, 2, & 3

I am not the biggest fan of these palettes because I feel like they have way too many shimmers compared to mattes, so that means I have to pull from another palette to complete a look, and I don’t like that. If I buy a palette, I feel like I should be able to complete a full eyeshadow look. They are very patchy and don’t blend well, so that’s another reason.

SmashBox Primers

Yes all of them. I feel like they don’t go into the skin but they rather sit on the skin and then it doesn’t blend well with any foundation I have used with it. It balls up and just doesn’t work for me.

Tarte Shape Tape Foundation

Okay so this might come to a surprise.. I actually like this foundation formulation, but I will never EVER buy it because when they made this foundation they only had 2 colors for women of color… T W O COLORS. Now this is just unacceptable and I cannot support that so I will never buy this foundation. If you’re going to make a foundation, make it for all skin colors. 

Huda Beauty Highlighter Palettes

So I don’t really like her as a person so I don’t have really any Huda Beauty things in my kit. I especially do not like these palettes because they are way too powdery and are just a little too much for what I use myself and on my clients.

Makeup Forever HD Powder 

Now this powder is AWFUL. When you use a flash camera when you are wearing this powder, it will look terrible. You get this white cast all over your face and it looks like you’ve been doing a drug (ya know the one). The flashback on this is just ew. I will never carry this powder in my kit or ever use it on myself.
