This is such a touchy subject and I think more people should be aware that not all hair and makeup brands are cruelty free. I am consciously making the decision to slowly transition into only using cruelty free brands. By slowly, I mean I’m not going to throw out perfectly good makeup; I’m going to use up what I have and just not repurchase that specific brand anymore. I do not want to be wasteful but I also want to do the right thing, so cruelty free I go, but slowly!
I’m going to talk about the brands I’m no longer going to use. Writing this list out is shocking and really opened my eyes. This is going to be a long transition because some products I use more often and go through more than others.
It is 2020 and I feel like if brands today STILL test on animals, there is something wrong. There are plenty of ways to not test on animals. Honestly there is no excuse for this. I’m going to do my part and just do the right thing by not using brands that aren’t cruelty free.

If you want more information or to try to join me in this transition, just google a few brands that you want to purchase from and ask if they are cruelty free, and Google will definitely tell you (just make sure the article is up to date as some were not cruelty free and now are in recent years). Now this list is definitely a lot and I have a ton of these brands in my house. I’m not only going to try to buy only cruelty free hair and makeup products but household products as well. I’m also going to recommend only cruelty free products because there is always a good replacement to anything if you look hard enough.
