I go on and on about hair, makeup, and wedding tips, but I wanted to switch things up a bit and share about my life outside of work! I have a life outside of work?! Crazy, I know!!! I love that I’m my own boss because I get to make my schedule, and I’m trying to do better at giving myself days off. Since I’m on my feet all day, I like to prioritize relaxing on some of my days off. Here are a few things I do to relax!
Reading
I’m sure this one wasn’t a surprise! I am working on filling up my little reading nook corner where I have several bookshelves and it is one of my happy places! I read SEVERAL books a week, including audio books, and I always bring a book with me everywhere I go. The book I’m working on right now is Red Rising. It’s a three book series and so far I really like it! Reading provides a little escapism into another world with characters, and it’s the perfect way to start the morning or relax after a long day!
Beach with Bane
Besha and Bane are my two loves of course, but one of my favorite things to do is go to the beach with Bane! He loves to run around in the sand and chase the waves. Getting outside with him is something I love to do regularly and it honestly makes me so happy to see him romp around the beach.
Mario Kart
If you come over and hang out with me, we are 100% playing Mario Kart! This has always been my favorite game and I love a little bit of healthy competition between friends! I am always Lakitu and I win every dang time. Seriously! I’m undefeated!!
Hang out with Family
I am so fortunate to live super close to my family, and I find nothing more relaxing than spending time with them! I love doing family dinners and having movie nights with my mom and dad. My down time is always best spent with those I love. We also play Mario Kart together too LOL.
Yoga
I’ve never been the best about working out, but I absolutely love yoga. As you can imagine, it’s so calming and rejuvenating. For me, a day well spent is starting the morning with yoga and then going on to spend the rest of my day with my animals and family!
