If you follow me on the gram, you might already know that my team and I took part in a local bridal show last month! I honestly had so much fun meeting all of you brides and chatting all things weddings with ya!!

One thing that I kept hearing over and over again was how overwhelmed you were with all of the vendors and information you receive at shows, so I felt that it was a priority to help you process everything and help you get the MOST out of your bridal show experience!!

Bridal shows can be just a fun thing that you do with your wedding party, or they can be super informational and help you find amazing vendors and resources for your wedding! Whatever the show may be for you, here are a few tips to help you make the most of it.

Create a wedding email!!!

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, this is an AMAZING way to keep all of your wedding related communications in one place so that your personal email doesn’t get bogged down! A wedding email is the key to keeping yourself organized. You can even create separate folders within this email account specific to hair/makeup, venue, planner, whatever categories you may need! Use this email when writing your information on the endless sign up lists that you’ll encounter at bridal shows.

Bring your calendar with you

A lot of vendors will offer a discount on trials, tastings, or consultations when you book them at the bridal show, so make sure to bring your calendar that way you’re able to take advantage of these deals!

Bring a friend with you!

Trying to tackle these bridal shows alone can be so overwhelming and sometimes you just need that additional perspective to help you make decisions or even just chill out a bit! Bring your mom, your fiancé, or my personal favorite – a bridesmaid or maid of honor! Having support there from someone who understands YOU and knows what you want your wedding day to be like will help you stay on track girl!!!

Capture the experience

Take LOTS of photos!!! NOTHING is worse than getting home and having to make decisions on place settings or hair but not remembering exactly what the styles you’re comparing look like. Take pictures of food, décor, makeup, photographers, literally everything! I know it’s easy to get wrapped up in the busy-ness of the day, so if you happen to forget this tip, hopefully you’re able to follow the vendors you have met on Instagram so you can see photos of their work!

Keep an open mind

You may have already decided on your vendors before attending a show, but keep in mind that nothing is solid until you’ve paid a deposit! If you find someone that you weren’t expecting to like better, explore that option! Heart was set on cupcakes but you saw a table with the most beautiful setup of macarons? Don’t count it out!! Thought you were gonna get your dress from one boutique but saw a different one that you fell in love with? Go for it girl!!!
