A lot of my brides come to me asking for a natural makeup look or tell me that they have little experience with makeup. I get it girl! Not everyone wears makeup everyday (it takes a lot of time am I right?), and hiring someone to do your makeup for perhaps the BIGGEST day of your life can be daunting! I didn’t know if you knew this, but I specialize in natural glam looks! I wanted to let you know what the different options are with natural makeup and what I offer in your experience with me!
Coverage
There are three types of foundation coverage: sheer, medium, and full coverage. Let me break down what each means. Full coverage is the Pinterest photos that you see. Flawless finish, no blemishes, and you cannot see their natural skin underneath… Yes it feels like a lot of makeup, I get it! But man oh man it looks sooooo nice in photos. This is the coverage I recommend the most! Sheer coverage is barely any foundation. You will see 80% of your skin still, blemishes will not be covered, and dark circles will still be visible. It will just be a light wash of foundation. Medium coverage is a happy medium, but it will still be quite a bit of makeup on your face. Unfortunately, I cannot make makeup look like skin. So if you are not used to wearing makeup, any type of foundation coverage may feel a bit shocking compared to what you’re used to, and I just wanted to give a little disclaimer!
Colors
9/10 I only work with natural colors. Browns, golds, soft pinks, tans. I sometimes do a pop of color, but only if my clients ask!! I love natural colors so if you do too, I’m your gal!!! We can do whatever you’re comfortable with, but these are just the colors I normally work with!
Weather
If you want your makeup to stay on better for an outdoor wedding in the heat or a summer wedding without AC, more foundation coverage will help. I know some of you want to look as natural and have the least coverage as possible, but unfortunately, your makeup will sweat off in the heat if you have less foundation on. I can’t control the weather (wouldn’t that be nice?), but my setting sprays work well and a little extra foundation will go a long way! Trust me girly!!!
Ultimately, even if you want a natural look, you’ll still have makeup on and it will be noticeable. You are getting what you pay for, girl! You’re paying for it and we want to help you get dolled up in a style that feels comfortable for YOU.

Katlyn
