Well first and foremost, I want to welcome you to My Itty Bitty Blog. I want to start a blog not for me, but for YOU. I want to give you a little more insight into my life, while also teaching you about hair and makeup. I want to make you feel comfortable styling your hair and putting on makeup. I’m here for you!
My goal is to answer all your questions about all things hair and makeup. I have been in this industry for almost 5 years and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else! I have done over 400 weddings! So I guess you could say I know a thing or two!
I would love to tell you a little bit of how I got to where I am today and what my journey was to become a hair and makeup artist.
Right after high school I jumped right into beauty school. While I was in beauty school I found out I absolutely HATED cutting and coloring hair. I also found out I loved to style it. So I was thinking why not go into the wedding industry. I wanted to be a jack-of-all-trades so I wanted to get into makeup. The thing is.. I had ZERO clue how to do makeup! Seriously! Instead of going on YouTube, I wanted to be professionally trained to be ahead of the curve. So I enrolled in The Makeup School by Sarah Rillon in Virginia Beach. After I graduated makeup school, I worked there for quite some time trying to get my experience up. I helped teach makeup, and I worked as their #1 hairstylist for weddings. I am so grateful that I did. I feel like I wouldn’t be where I am today without working there. After I left I have been off on my own ever since! Fast forward a few years and here I am!
Growing this business has been so rewarding and such a dream of mine. I cannot wait to step into this new journey educating so I can better serve you!
